About Luso Esports

Luso Esports is more than a tournament platform—it's a complete esports ecosystem built from the ground up by a solo founder from Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Founded in November 2025 by Sumit Vishwakarma, we organize competitive, fair, and community-driven BGMI tournaments for players across India.

From humble WhatsApp group beginnings to a fully functional website launched on 16 February 2026, Luso Esports represents the future of grassroots mobile esports—transparent, accessible, and built entirely for players who take gaming seriously.

From WhatsApp Group to National Platform

Luso Esports didn't start with fancy servers or corporate backing. It began as a simple WhatsApp group on 10 November 2025, where a small group of serious BGMI players gathered to compete properly. Every Sunday, we hosted weekly tournaments with a ₹360 prize pool.

The format was simple but effective: 14-16 teams competed daily throughout the week to climb the leaderboard. Only the top 16 teams earned a spot in the high-stakes Sunday finals. This created intense daily competition and real stakes for every match.

From November 2025 to February 2026 (roughly 14 weeks), we organized 14+ weekly tournaments plus additional development-phase events. What started as a weekend experiment quickly became a daily competitive hub for serious BGMI players.

The Solo Founder's Journey

Sumit Vishwakarma from Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh discovered BGMI in 2018 and immediately saw its competitive potential. By 2019 (age 16), he was searching for proper tournament platforms but found only confusion, hidden rules, and unprofessional organizers.

Everyone told him the same thing: "Gaming is just for fun. Focus on studies." His parents wanted him in the bio field, so he completed BSc Biology in 2024. But gaming never left his mind. The breakthrough came when his cousin introduced him to O-Level programming—basic web development training that finally gave him the skills to build his vision.

10 November 2025: WhatsApp group launched.
16 February 2026: Official website goes live.
Today: A growing platform serving hundreds of players weekly.

Our Proven Tournament System

Luso Esports runs on a weekly competitive cycle designed to keep players engaged daily while building toward meaningful Sunday finals:

This system creates constant competition while ensuring only the best teams battle for real prizes. Players must stay consistent all week to earn their finals spot.

The Challenges We Overcame

Building Luso Esports alone wasn't easy. As a solo founder, Sumit handled everything: tournament organization, website development, player support, leaderboard updates, and prize distribution—all for free.

The biggest challenge? Player commitment. When tournaments were free, many players signed up but didn't show up, treating it like casual play. This constant no-showing was deeply demotivating for a solo organizer working nights and weekends to deliver professional tournaments.

But Sumit persisted. Each missed match became fuel to improve the system. Today, Luso Esports is stronger because it was built through real challenges—not theoretical planning in a boardroom.

Our Mission & Values

Luso Esports exists to solve the problems Sumit faced as a player in 2019: confusing registrations, unclear rules, unreliable organizers, and hidden information.
